GrowSmarter: transforming cities for a smart, sustainable Europe
In a rapidly urbanising world cities need to become smarter to respond to citizen needs and to reduce their environmental footprint. GrowSmarter brings together cities and industry to integrate and demonstrate ‘12 smart city solutions’ in energy, infrastructure and transport, to provide other cities with valuable insights on how they work in practice and opportunities for replication.

The three point project Triangulum is one of 14 European Smart Cities and Communities Lighthouse Projects, set to demonstrate, disseminate and replicate solutions and frameworks for Europe’s future smart cites. The Lighthouse Cities Manchester (UK), Eindhoven (NL) and Stavanger (NO) serve as testbeds for innovative projects focusing on sustainable mobility, energy, ICT and business opportunities.

SSPCR 2019 aims to answer the question on how can we maximize the impact of academic research, the scaling-up and replicability opportunities of pilot projects, and the added value of local bottom-up initiatives, in relation to complex challenges posed by the smart city/region approach?
Therefore, building projects that wish to put their work in a larger (urban or regional scale) will find in this conference the right audience.
