At the WHO Europe Indoor Air Conference, two Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) experts from the REHVA network, Pawel Wargocki and Corinne Mandin, highlighted the urgency of addressing IEQ issues.

Pawel emphasised the necessity of clear accountability structures and governmental responsibility in ensuring good air quality in buildings. He called for robust regulations, transparent ventilation standards, and empowered occupants. He also urged a paradigm shift from risk mitigation to actively promoting health through IEQ and emphasised the need to visualise indoor air quality for building occupants.

Corinne stressed the importance of keeping Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) high on the agenda amidst other global challenges. She advocated for shared responsibility among governments, owners, occupants, and stakeholders in improving IAQ.
