The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) has launched the LIFE Clean Energy Transition 2023 call for proposals. The deadline to submit proposals is 16 November 2023.

This call brings an opportunity to address the Energy Performance of Buildings, creating the conditions to make building renovation faster, deeper, smarter, service- and data driven. This is the title of the topic “LIFE-2023-CET-BETTERRENO”, a unique opportunity to help implementing current and future EU building policies, including the Renovation Wave and the upcoming revision of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive.

The topic is structured across 3 different scopes: facilitate large-scale deep renovation, regulatory and administrative frameworks and buildings energy data and services. It welcomes proposals that bring actors, markets, frameworks and innovative solutions together to increase the attractiveness of building performance up-grades and to reduce the administrative, logistic and financial burden that still goes along with (deep) retrofitting of buildings. The topic also aims to address the need for quality data to make verification and financing more robust and to help deploy services that valorise building energy efficiency and smartness.

Proposals are supported with a 95% co-funding rate and should include minimum 3 applicants from different countries.
