This electronic service is a tool created by the European Commission which aims to share and promote existing knowledge, guidelines, tools and best practices for energy-saving measures in buildings across Europe. At the same time, it aims to inform and update the market about the legislative framework in terms of goals, practical implications and future revisions.
BUILD UP is a European Commission initiative funded under the Intelligent Energy Europe programme.
The electronic service is provided by everis under a service contract with the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) on the behalf of the European Commission (contract number – EASME/H2020/2017/023.
The electronic service provides a wide range of interactive forums, resources (e.g. publications, cases, tools, news and events) and links to websites from a number of organisations. EASME and the service provider everis take no responsibility for information contained in these interactive forums, resources or linked websites.
The views expressed in the portal and its interactive forums, resources and linked websites are the ones of the authors and do not represent EASME or the European Commission’s official position.
Neither EASME, the European Commission nor the service provider everis guarantee the accuracy of the information given in the portal, its resources or forums, nor can they be made liable for any use made thereof.

Your personal data are processed in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 45/200 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data by the Community institutions and bodies and on the free movement of such data.
The data controller of the processing operation is the Head of Unit B1 of the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME). The service provider everis acts as Processor, in charge of the management and the maintenance of the portal.
The legal basis for the processing operations are: Article 5(a) of Regulation EC 45/2001 whereby processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest on the basis of the Treaties or other legal instruments adopted on the basis thereof; Article 5(d) of Regulation EC 45/2001 based on the consent of the data subject; etc]. 1

The purpose of this processing operation is to:
1.- Provide the electronic service
2.- Create and maintain a database of users for the purpose of the newsletter.
The following personal data are collected: first name, last name, title, function, organisation, professional / personal) e-mail address. The replies to the above question are mandatory (except where indicated in the registration form).
The recipients of your data will be EASME and European Commission staff in charge of BUILD UP, sevice provider contractors in charge of everis, the registered users of the electronic service,and, the public only for the directory, and bodies charged with monitoring or inspection tasks in application of EU law (e.g. internal audits, European Anti-fraud Office – OLAF).
Your data will be kept for a maximum period of 36 months after the end of the event. Data will be automatically deleted at the end of this period.
