The InterConnect project, funded under EU's Horizon 2020 program, aims to address interoperability issues. However, it encounters obstacles such as lack of cooperation between governments and companies. Despite challenges, the project seeks to support the EU Energy Efficiency Directive with the ultimate goal of a future where consumers are empowered in energy management and businesses innovate for sustainability.
