The UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe hosted the GEO4CIVHIC Summer School in Venice, focusing on "heating and cooling historic buildings with green energy." Sponsored by the EU's Horizon 2020 program, the GEO4CIVHIC project aims to enhance geothermal systems' efficiency in historical and residential buildings.

The summer school, attended by 58 students, featured discussions with experts and explored successful projects in Italy, Ireland, and Malta. The initiative not only strengthened UNESCO's network of young green energy leaders but also provided students with valuable insights and potential career paths in geothermal energy for historical structures, fostering inspiration and practical ideas.
