Assessing the readiness levels of participants in energy renovation training is crucial for understanding their preparedness to address challenges and opportunities within the built environment. Gender equality is also essential for sustainability and innovation, particularly in fields like energy retrofits

This report presents findings from a "readiness" survey conducted within the context of the EUKI project UPGREAT, involving building professionals, students, and practitioners who attended the project's seminars. It explores perceptions of training effectiveness and gender dynamics within energy renovation training

A total of 658 individuals were trained through 18 seminars organized by the consortium until December 2023. The report is based on a survey conducted at the conclusion of these seminars, aiming to assess participants' views on the usefulness and adequacy of UPGREAT's training, their readiness to recognize practice errors, and other relevant aspects. Moreover, the report examines the gender dynamics present in energy renovation training.

The survey aimed to gauge participants' readiness, confidence, understanding, and the adequacy of training in enhancing their skills. Gender-specific differences in responses were analyzed to identify areas for promoting gender equality. Recommendations are provided for stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of energy renovation training and foster a skilled and diverse workforce capable of driving sustainable practices. Through collaborative efforts and targeted initiatives, stakeholders can contribute to a resilient and energy-efficient future.
