RESTORE is an knowledge transfer project that is composed by 40 countries and 150 working members. The project is divided into 5 workgroups and it is coordinated by the Core Group and the Members' Committee representing each of the participant countries.    Concept and Objectives   Sustainable buildings and facilities are critical to a future that is socially just, ecologically restorative, culturally rich and economically viable within the climate change context

History   BASE was founded in 2001 as the Basel Agency for Sustainable Energy. Since our beginning, we have worked on projects to improve the flow of investment towards sustainable energy and meet the challenge of climate change.   BASE has been an initiator of sustainability and investment organisations including The Gold Standard, Global Infrastructure Basel, greenTEK ventures, SEFI and the SEF Alliance.   Concept and Objectives

CitizEE is a new Coordiantion and Support Action at European level, funded under the Horizon 2020 programme. The project has been launched in May 2019, with a kick-off meeting held by WIP Renewable Energies in its facilities in Munich (Germany), on May 7th-8th.   The meeting gathered the 8 partners forming the consortium and served as starting point for the CitizEE project

Concept and Objectives   The main goal of QUEST is to promote investments in Sustainability and Energy Efficiency by identifying and empirically risk-grading factors that influence performance.   QUEST will develop a simple toolkit to evaluate these investments. It may be easily applied to all types of Sustainability and Energy Efficiency investments and covers project design-construction-operation risks.

With the EU planning aimed at nearly zero energy target for new buildings by 2020, the construction sector is confronted with the urgent need to upskills its workforce.   This need implies both meeting the targets and learning how to use innovative approaches and technology solutions to keep high quality of construction and increase the building energy efficiency.

&The European Local Energy Assistance (ELENA) is a successful joint initiative between the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Commission (Smart Finance for Smart Buildings).   It offers technical assistance for investments in energy efficiency and renewable energy in buildings and innovative urban transport projects through schemes.
