Support for municipalities in transition towards more sustainable and local energy planning

Act!on Heat project has opened a call for applicants to local energy planners to receive strategic support to improve heating and cooling infrastructures.
Editorial Team

The European Act!onHeat Support Facility is available to all local energy planners who want support to accelerate the energy transition through the improvement of heating and cooling infrastructures. This Support Facility has been active since 2022, actively guiding energy planners of municipalities through various support services, such as educational materials and methodologies on heat planning.

Energy planners are thereby learning how to develop best practice policies through the use of open source analysis tools and as a result of the upskilling they are allowed to accelerate sustainable heating and cooling.

Some supported case studies include:

  • Zelzate (Belgium)

  • Sint Niklaas (Belgium)

  • Vorarlberg (Austria)

  • LEA-Hassen

  • MANU (North Macedonia)
