A task-based qualification framework for circular skills in construction

The current skills gap is requesting measures to upskill circular skills in the construction sector.
Editorial Team

The construction sector faces a significant skills gap, particularly in circular skills. The BUS-GoCircular project addresses this issue: through initiatives like Multi-functional Green Roofs Facades and Interior Elements (MGRFIE), the project identifies and maps skills gaps across Europe. This informs the development of a task-based Qualification Framework, comprising 80 Units of Learning Outcomes (ULOs) to enhance circular skills.

Training packs tailored for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and various professions are pivotal in bridging these gaps. These resources facilitate Train the Trainer (TtT) and mentoring programs continent-wide, ensuring professionals are equipped with essential skills for a sustainable construction future.
