The project aims to provide building workers in Spain with the competences and skills required in the fields of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Systems in order to contribute to achieving 2020 energy objectives.

The main goal of the project is to establish a large-scale qualification and training scheme for Croatian blue-collar building workers, based on the recommendations and priority measures defined by the National Roadmap, in order to enable life-long training of qualified and unqualified employed and unemployed workers, as well as systematic market evaluation of qualified workforce. The project focuses on the continuing training of building workers (craftsmen and blue collar workers) that are already on the job market, covering all works on the building envelope (excluding RES workers). Thus, it targets the 6 priority professions identified by the National Roadmap: bricklayers, plasterers, roofers, carpenters, house-painters and prefabricated construction fitters, each taking into account the 4 relevant European Qualifications Framework levels (6 professions x 4 EQF levels). Thus, 24 training modules will be developed and tested, and a functioning certification scheme will be developed. An initial set of at least 10 training centres (training providers) will be accredited country-wide.

The project aimed to develop a modular qualification scheme for professionals in the construction industry with an emphasis on across-the-crafts training of e.g., general foreman, foremen, skilled workers, craftsmen and unskilled workpeople.

BuildUpSkillsNL unites national forces to increase the number of qualified ‘blue collar’ workers covering all relevant crafts and professions in order to meet the 2020 objectives in the built environment. A national energy-efficiency and renewable energy training and qualification platform will be initiated. A consortium has been formed with parties from training sector and building sector.

The aim of the project is to establish a voluntary system for development and recognition of professional competencies and skills of the building workforce in Lithuania in relation to requirements for nearly zero energy buildings.

To this effect, new a Qualification and Training scheme will be developed and widely promoted, while involving major stakeholders at national level. The project contributes to further developing the work of qualification platform initiated during BUILD UP Skills Lithuania.

The project actions will result in actual trainings and certification of workers on the new programmes. Additionally, the project will improve the institutional arrangements in the vocational training system, will reduce the gap in continuing professional training of trainers and will significantly contribute to addressing all priority areas set in the National Roadmap, developed under the Pillar I project of the BUILD UP Skills initiative.

The project aimed to overcome barriers and identify skills gaps in various construction professions by bringing together education, energy and building industry experts and by establishing an expert group for elaboration of the training programmes. Two continuing education programmes and training materials were elaborated in relation to energy efficient building renovation and nearly zero energy buildings.
